Initial state of work, preconditions for starting, & objectives:

Besides carrying out a scientific examination of the results of the monitoring work done in WP3 with the assistance of experts of the sector, this WP also envisages the selection of the classification system to be used as reference from those that had been identified in WP3.

Subsequently, the criteria for applying the classification system to the BISNET platform will be worked out and all the integrations and adjustments that may prove necessary are to be made.

In particular, by starting with the DEI, WEKA and ARGE databases which will be involved in the initial part of the programme, an evaluation will be made of the potential of the classification system and of its capacity to classify all of the information in a consistent manner and hence make all the necessary adjustments and integrations. Finally, the selected and adjusted classification system will be translated into English.

QUASCO will be responsible for WP4 with support and verifications made by the partners to the BISNET project.

All of the original documents that will be drawn up within this WP will be held in Bologna at the Quasco offices. Periodically Quasco will send to all the BISNET partners progress reports on the activities carried out and the minutes of the meetings.

The deliverable of WP4 is a prototype of the classification system, translated into English, German and Italian that will be implemented on BISNET.

Tasks:

4.1 Selection of the reference classification system in dependence of the results of the WP3 and of the evaluations made by the BISNET partners and by the experts, and a meeting, if necessary.

4.2 Translation of the classification system that has been selected into English, German, Italian.

4.3 Integration and adjustment of the classification system in dependence of the specific needs of the partners and of the observations formulated by the experts and drafting of the prototype of the classification system to be used on BISNET.
